When positioning solids towards each other, it is often useful to redefine the insertion point of the solid so that you have it just at the point by which you want to snap the solid to another one. It can be done using the icon "New Insertion Point", which is available in the "3D Location" dialog box (a box which appear when placing solids into 3D space or after STC command). To select a new position of the insertion point, use the options (or their combinations)available in the pop-up menu "3D Snaps" which appears just after clicking the icon "New Insertion Point". See and follow also instructions which appear in the status bar. |

I need to make railings for stairs and I need to connect a horizontal part of the tube with sloped part. If I need to mill it I would need to snap the intersection but I do not know how. The tool for pipes path would work perfect if I could select sharp corner instead of elbow but it seems that it is not possible. Am I missing something? |
