The new VariCAD 2008 includes another new features and useful improvements:
- support for 3D threads (threads at bolts, screws and nuts, including library parts; threaded holes, etc.)
- improvements in shells and surface development
- new 3D kernel capabilities (e.g. Boolean intersection, improved 3D chamfer tool)
- a new tool for spherical solids
- new BOM and title blocks' features

Today, we released updated packages of VariCAD 2007 3.03. They allow running VariCAD on another distributions of Linux (e.g. Ubuntu 7.10, etc.), which the software could not have been run on so far. The new packages (RPM and Debian) are available for download.
The new VariCAD 2007 3.00 includes a completely rebuilt BOM (work with attributes, automatic title blocks filling etc.), improved user interface, new improvements in STEP and DWG file compatibility, a further extended tutorial and quick demonstration, and more. VariCAD is now ready for Windows Vista. The latest VariCAD 2007 1.08 can be run on Windows 2000/XP/Vista or Linux as well. This new release also brings another minor improvements. For your evaluation, there are free 30-day trial versions available.
This new version of VariCAD includes tools for assembly support (assembly-part links), identical copies (allowing to make the same changes to several solids at once), support for 2D drawing updates after changes in 3D, and other improvements. A free trial version is available for download.

The new Linux version has been significantly rebuilt. Unlike the previous Linux versions of VariCAD, the new VariCAD 2005 3.00 requires less dependencies on system files. It allows running the software on more distributions of Linux. Compared with the previous version, VariCAD 2005 3.00 brings also another improvements (e.g. new high-resolution bitmap output from 3D, new user-defined default settings, improved file opening, dimensioning, user interface etc.). New VariCAD 2005 2.02 brings another improvements (e.g. new high-resolution bitmap output from 3D, improved user-defined default settings, further improved file opening, etc.). At the same time a new updated version of VariCAD Viewer was released. They both are available for download. At the moment the new VariCAD 2005 2.02 is available for Windows. The Linux version with the above improvements should be released soon.

A new VariCAD 2005 2.00 bringing significant improvements was released today. It includes substantially improved functionality with multiple documents (files), new STL file output, new options for copying objects (both between drawings and within the drawing), and more.
