It would be welcome I think also! Thus the exported and imported models would be more understandable! The single color assemblies are complicated to handle, to inspect, or do anything with it. For the humans.. |

STEP color missing when importing |

Hi I'm trying VariCAD and I noticed that if I load a STEP file which has colored parts, the colors are correctly assigned only if the model has separate parts... http://www.steptools.com/support/stdev_docs/stpfiles/ap214/as1-md-214.stp In case of single union parts, the colors are lost http://www.steptools.com/support/stdev_docs/stpfiles/ap214/io1-tc-214.stp Is there a chance to have colors fully implemented in a new release? thanks Maui |
Colors of individual surface patches |
VariCAD Support | 1.11.2022 15:38 |
Hello, since version 2022 - 1.0, individual surface patches of solids can be colored differently. This graphical information can be imported and exported via the STEP file format, the application protocol AP214 must be used. For export, it can be set up in the system settings under STEP Output option. For VariCAD to display individual colors of patches, run "sco" command and select one of the options for patches colors to be displayed individually. VariCAD Support Team |
