I'd be curious to see the two sets of axes match orientation myself (box dialogue window and WCS) . Now when translating objects, in the 3D location dialogue window I normally hit the button, "All axes according to world coordinates." Then the object axis matches the WCS at the lower left of the screen - no confusion for me. |

Axis doesn't match object import dialogue box |

Guys, for years I have been confused of the position of an object I bring in through the dialogue box. Let me explain When you open VariCAD the Axis is down in the left hand corner of the screen (3D View) You have a RED X, Blue Y, and Green Z There are also colored lines to visually define the axis, the Blue Y is up, the Red X is to the right, and the Green Z is towards you. Now when you bring in an object in this case as an example a box in the dialogue box that pops up it has the Height (Z), the Width (X), and the Length (Y). I may be missing something but these don't match the axis on the screen. Hence my confusion. Is there a way to reset this so both lots of Axis match the screen? Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance |
