You can do it by pressing the right + left mouse buttons (an order in which you press the buttons is important). Then, when you move the mouse solids rotate. For other options, see "Zoom/Pan/Rotation" at http://www.varicad.com/en/home/support/knowledge-base/ |

How to create isometric drawings from 3d? |

I tried to use "2D drawings from 3d", then choose "Create 2d drawing from current view". The problem is I'm getting a 2d drawing is not in proper proportion. Is there a way to rotate the 3d model so that it can create an isometric drawing, or at least close to it. I think this is possible using certain rotation values for the x,y,z axis, maybe you guys know. |

Finally figured it out, here's what I did: 1. "Tools" - "Predefined View Settings" 2. Set the following values: x = 35.264 y = -45 z = 0 3. Click "Ok" to exit dialog box 4. Finally, click "Predefined view" icon Now when you "Create 2d drawing from 3d view", you will get an isometric drawing, meaning a cube should look like a hexagon. Wikipedia, for more info. Thanks, hope this helps others. |
