To edit the diameter of the holes, you can use the tool "Edit and Translate Solid Elements" (MTS command), and then select the option "Multiple Elements Selection". Once you have selected all 9 holes, the changes will be applied to all these holes. |

Dear colleagues, I have been trying to draw a flanged connection with 9 holes to test how would I make changes to the diameter of the holes. I copied the first hole 8 times in the solid edition tool, but other editions of diameter are not propagated to the copies, despite of the "identical copies" feature having being used. Do you have any suggestions on how to circumvent this? |

this issue has been discussed several times. this is a serious drawback of varicad. once you specify an item as part of a boolean tree, it looses its 'identicalness'. the developer guys always claim that 'this is very easy, you can select multiple elements [holes in your case], and change their diameter at the same time'. i completely agree with this sentence, except one part: 'this is very easy'. it is not very easy. if one has a complicated setup, with several 'identical' holes, selecting them all itself takes a lot of time, and one always forgets to select really all of them. |
